Ghost Walk Idaho Falls
Learn about the history of Idaho Falls. Hear the tales of the early settlers. The ghosts that are still haunting downtown buildings. Learn about the brothels, lost children, murders, and suicides.
Japanese Friendship Garden
The Japanese Friendship Garden contains a traditional Japanese garden gate, many water features, a viewing platform, a deck, a “Dragon’s Path” across a pond and the large Japanese lantern given to the city by Tokai-Mura. Many features have been built by volunteers who donated many many hours of their time to these projects and maintaining the garden.
Giant Eagle Waterfall Nest
The Giant Eagle Waterfall Nest sculpture and fountain, or what its sculptor, Vic Payne, called “The Protector,” featuring parent eagles and their chicks (and a less obvious mountain lion) was created on a traffic circle in 2006 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. It is one of the most visited monuments of the city.

Idaho Falls Temple & Visitors’ Center
Enjoy the reflection of the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple in the nearby Snake River. Come inside and view exhibits on the importance of families, messages from modern prophets, and the Book of Mormon. Enjoy the architecture of this beautiful Temple.

Come in and Explore! Fun for all Ages! Scavenger hunt for kids! Over 115 individual collections on display and secondary market collectible items for sale! The featured exhibit area changes every 3 months. Take some time and enjoy a fun and relaxing museum experience. New permanent exhibit: Over 400 Barbie, Ken, and Friends from 1958-current. Hell’s Half Acre
The Lava Trails traverse the desert of the Snake River Plain through contorted landscapes created by multiple lava flows. These Hawaiian-type lava flows are associated with the stretching of the earth’s crust. Hell’s Half Acre lava flow erupted about 4,100 years ago and is 222 square miles or 162,000 acres. The lava flowed at 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit, had the consistency of molasses, and traveled at speeds up to 30 mph.
Tautphaus Park
Tautphaus Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Idaho Falls. It houses the Tautphaus Park Zoo, the Wayne/Lehto Ice arena (during winter months), Funland Amusement Park, as well as five ball diamonds, four shelters, tennis courts, a basketball court, a skateboard park, horseshoe pits, and all access playground equipment.
East Idaho Aquarium
Founded in 2013, East Idaho Aquarium is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Their mission is to educate and inspire both young and old about the water ecosystems around the world through interactive experiences.
